A prototype light built from two materials in opposition: cast iron encasing the light source, and clear epoxy resin directing where that light travels. The two are joined as a single form — inseparable, each making the other meaningful.

The design keeps the light source out of direct view. What reaches the eye is not the bulb but its consequence: a soft diffusion, a quiet glow that settles rather than asserts. Placed on a bedside table or beside a meal, it does what small light does best — it marks the room without commanding it.

At Φ33 × 210 mm, the proportions are deliberate. Slender enough to disappear into a scene, weighty enough — at 900g — to hold its ground.

鋳鉄と透明エポキシ樹脂を一体成型で接合した照明器具。鋳鉄が光源を内包し、樹脂が光の方向を制御する。二つの素材は分かれているのではなく、互いの機能によってひとつの形として成立している。 光源が直接目に入らない構造のため、光はまぶしさとして届かない。やわらかく拡散した気配として、ベッドサイドや食卓にそっと溶け込む。Φ33×210mm、900g。細くて重い。その矛盾が、この照明の静けさをつくっている。
